The series of works by Huguet on show in this section illustrates his artistic development and that of his workshop over more than forty years. Beginning with the panel of the Virgin from Vallmoll, a work attributed to Huguet's beginnings, and going on to some panels from the Altarpiece of St. Augustine or of the Tanners, already produced by his workshop, we can see the importance of Huguet's art. The compartments of the Altarpiece of St. Michael from the church of El Pi in Barcelona, as well as those from the church of Sant Vicenç in Sarrià, help to understand one of the most brilliant periods in the art of Catalonia in the second half of the 15th century. The panel of St. George and the Princess and that of the Consecration of St. Augustine illustrate the artist's maturity.
